Royal author Tom Quinn, known for his book Scandals of the Royal Palaces: An Intimate Memoir of Royals Behaving Badly, has shed light on Harry’s expectations. “Despite all his criticisms, Harry always assumed he would be forgiven by his father,” Quinn revealed in an interview with The Mirror. “He thought Charles would make amends for the hurt that—in Harry’s view—justified the criticisms.”

Princess Beatrice, who maintains close relationships with both Harry and William, as well as with King Charles, is seen as a potential peacemaker. Royal commentator Grant Harrold, King Charles’s former royal butler, believes that Beatrice could play a crucial role in mending the fractured ties within the family.

“[Princess] Beatrice could act as a peacemaker for Harry, William, and Charles,” Harrold told Express. “She would be someone to initiate peace in the family. She’s close to both William and Harry, as well as the king—and they trust her.”
