In a heartfelt video, Kate, 42, reflected on her challenging journey and expressed gratitude for her family’s support, revealing that she has undergone preventative chemotherapy
The Princess of Wales is poised to participate in a Remembrance Sunday service and an annual Christmas carol event as she emerges from her cancer treatment.
In a deeply personal video shared on Monday, Kate, 42, expressed her positive progress alongside her family, announcing that she would begin to “undertake light engagements” as the year draws to a close.
Her heartfelt message about her cancer journey is accompanied by touching images of the family enjoying the great outdoors, showcasing moments of affection between Kate and William as they hold hands.
Reflecting on the past nine months since her health challenges began, she described the experience as “incredibly tough for us as a family,” emphasizing that the “cancer journey is complex, scary, and unpredictable for everyone.” This journey has provided her with a “new perspective on everything.”
Kate revealed that she has been undergoing preventative chemotherapy following her diagnosis of an unknown form of cancer earlier this year. Since then, she has remained largely out of the public eye, attending only two official engagements since January.
Looking ahead, potential upcoming engagements may include the Remembrance Sunday service in November and the annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey, which she has hosted in the past.
While no specific events have been confirmed yet, the typical end-of-year calendar for the princess includes notable occasions such as the diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace in December.
