With the release of the last season of Game of Thrones in 2019, viewers expressed their disapproval with the characters’ arcs through booing and criticizing. For a long while, the show had high ratings, but in season eight, it suffered greatly as a result of choices that many felt were poorly thought through and implemented.
As a result, the whole audiovisual industry learned a big lesson about what to do and what not to do when wrapping up a story. While there are exceptions, it’s crucial not to go too far. The Boys might be heading down a similar path as GOT if the cast’s opinions are taken seriously, and fans aren’t happy about it.

Karen Fukuhara Wants A Game Of Thrones-Style Scene To Her Character.
The latest Comic-Con in San Diego brought some exciting news and interesting interviews, particularly during the panel for The Boys. However, it was an interview with TV Guide that really caught attention and sparked a lot of chatter on social media.
The cast was asked how they envisioned the “perfect death” for their characters in the series. Karen Fukuhara, who plays Kimiko Miyashiro, was initially taken aback by the question but then described her ideal scene, drawing a comparison to a very specific moment from Game of Thrones.

In the series’ season finale years ago, Arya Stark took down the Night King, a surprising twist given her youth and the scale of the villain. Fukuhara revealed that she would be thrilled for Kimiko to meet her end, as long as it involved her taking down the mighty Homelander in a similar way.
“I will say I want like the Arya Stark moment you know when she defeats the White Walker and nobody expected that, so perhaps, maybe Homelander can be taken out by Kimiko. I don’t know, that would be a good death, like if I’m going to take him out, I would be willing to die.”
Although Arya Stark didn’t die, the actress hinted she’d be happy if Kimiko performed a similarly heroic act. The problem is, fans didn’t quite agree with this idea:

The reason why Game of Thrones fans didn’t enjoy that scene was because they thought Arya Stark wasn’t the best fit for the part. They thought there were other, more appropriate characters for the time being and that her trip wasn’t supposed to end that way.
Even while Fukuhara has made it plain that her wish is merely for Kimiko Miyashiro to be held accountable for such a significant death in The Boys, many people are cautioning against taking her remarks too literally.
Could Kimiko Miyashiro Actually Take Down Homelander?

Even though the character didn’t speak throughout the seasons, she still won over the audience and became one of the most beloved characters in the series.
After a terrorist gang slaughtered her parents and abducted her and her brother to join a terrorist army in the Philippines, where she was tortured, Kimiko, a Japanese girl, had her life completely destroyed. She became a Supe against her choice after being forced to take Compound V after being smuggled into the USA years later.
She endured continuous agony and eventually wanted to give up violence, but she was given a second opportunity after being attacked by Soldier Boy and losing her abilities. But after seeing how important it is to battle supervillains, she decides to take Compound V again on her own.
Overall, Kimiko’s journey aligns with what the actress envisions for her character’s story. Taking down Homelander, who is central to her destiny, makes sense as a major goal. Kimiko is one of the most wronged characters, but fans are nearly unanimous in believing that Butcher should be the one to handle this mission.
Fukuhara jokingly suggested that her reaction to TV Guide might come to pass. Might it? Hopefully, Eric Kripke, the showrunner, won’t take it too seriously. In an interview with GamesRadar, Kripke acknowledged that he is under pressure to properly conclude the series, with the goal of making the last season worthy of the program.
