Scandal Exposed! True Attendance at Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois Revealed—Fans Misled!

The actual number of people in attendance for Anthony Joshua vs. Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium has been verified. In their heavyweight title battle at Wembley on September 21, ‘Dynamite’ Dubois stunned the world by defeating Joshua by knockout in the fifth round.

There had been rumors that the crowd of about 96,000 would smash records for both post-war Europe and boxing events held at Wembley. According to Brent Borough Council, 85,466 people used the turnstiles.

The official attendance for the heavyweight title fight between Anthony Joshua (left) and Daniel Dubois (right) at Wembley last month has been confirmed by Brent Borough Council

It’s important to keep in mind that this simply counts the numbers that come in via the turnstiles; it doesn’t account for the attendance of those who sat in VIP boxes or seats. That falls far short of the 96,000 that Alalshikh had proposed.

Turki Alalshikh and Riyadh Season said it was the most attended Wembley event ever.Eddie Hearn had corroborated those statements as well.

After the fight, Alalshikh wrote on X: ‘It’s happening Today at Wembley Stadium in front of 96,000 fans An unexpected end with a knockout…’.

Hearn supported that suggestion at a press conference as he said: ‘It’s the record; it’s 96,000, I think, at a time that British boxing needs a shot in the arm’.

To put things in perspective, the majority of Premier League football teams choose to highlight the quantity of tickets sold during a game above the attendance at the stadium. This implies that they consist of free tickets that are not utilized and season ticket subscribers who do not attend.

In 2022, Tyson Fury defeated Dillian Whyte in front of 94,000 spectators at Wembley. Joshua’s boxing career has been suspended as a result of his loss to Dubois. Joshua will not be able to return to the ring for 28 days after Dubois maintained his IBF heavyweight title.Joshua, though, is certain that he wants to carry on fighting.

Eddie Hearn had claimed that the attendance had broken the Wembley record

The attendance through the turnstiles was 85,466, despite Turki Alalshikh claiming 96,000 tickets had been sold

Joshua said: ‘And you’re probably asking, ‘Do I want to continue fighting?’ Of course I want to continue fighting.

‘That’s why I said we took a shot at success and we came up short. And what does that mean right now?

‘Are we gonna run away? Are we going live to fight another day? And that’s what I am. A warrior’.
