EXCLUSIVE: Kate Middleton Establishes All-Female Drinking Club at University and Beyond

MANY people know about Kate Middleton capturing Prince William’s attention on a catwalk in her underwear.

But did you know that the Duchess of Wales’s slightly wild side doesn’t end there, and that she even founded her own drinking society while at school?

Stunning Kate Middleton not only walked in this runway show at uni, but also started her own drinking society

Before she was in the royal circle, Kate founded an alcohol club at St Andrews that aimed to address the traditionally mens-only drinking societies.

She is said to have co-founded a club that women were able to join and enjoy a tipple away from their male counterparts.

The Guardian reported: “At university, Kate continued to grow in confidence.

“She co-founded a girls’ drinking society,” annoyed that the old ones excluded women — “but no one remembers her getting very drunk.’”

Kate was keen to co-found the womens-only drinking club in response to the societies that typically shunned girls

Kate may not have been a heavy drinker herself, but she certainly enjoyed some A-list club haunts in London when she was younger.

Celeb photographer Max Butterworth released a shot of a young Kate Middleton leaving Mahiki in London’s Mayfair in 2007 – a popular haunt with royals and celebrities.

After meeting at university back in 2001, Prince William and Kate Middleton fell head over heels for a few years before deciding to part ways for a while.

But just like a real life fairy tale they found their way back to each other and Kate finally married the Prince.

They both attended St Andrews University in Scotland with William studying Geography and Kate taking History of Art.

The royal couple were friends at first but things soon turned romantic after discovering they had the same naughty sense of humour.

Kate and Wills even moved in together in 2002 with two other friends, including former Etonian Fergus Boyd.

Speaking about their split in their engagement interview prior to their 2011 wedding, they admitted it was for the best.

William said: “We were both very young, it was at university and we were both finding ourselves and being different characters and stuff.

“It was very much trying to find our own way and we were growing up.”

Although now they both realise it did their relationship some good, the Duchess put her hands up and came clean about the fact she wasn’t happy about their decision to part ways at the time.

She said: “At the time I wasn’t very happy about it but actually it made me a stronger person.

“I really valued that time, for me as well, although I didn’t think it at the time.”

But as we all know, they couldn’t stay away from each other for too long and the happy couple are now parents to gorgeous Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

Kate was interestingly the subject of now sister-in-law Meghan Markle’s blog post back in 2014.

This adorable moment shows Prince William trying not to laugh in a ceremony before being caught by Kate.

And this is the reason why Kate and Wills never seem to hold hands but Harry and Meghan do.
